FAQ
1. What is home care?
According to the Canadian Home Care Association, home care is defined as an integrated “array of services, provided in the home and community setting, that encompass health promotion and teaching, curative intervention, end-of-life care, rehabilitation, support and maintenance, social adaptation and integration, and support for the family caregiver”.
2. Why choose home care over a retirement home or long term care?
Home care offers flexibility in services and allows you to remain in the comfort of your home. It can be a financially sensible option for seniors who own their homes. It puts you in control of how much care you receive and when. Home care can also be provided in facilities if extra one-on-one care is needed.
3. Who needs home care?
Anyone who prefers to spend time on things they enjoy rather than struggle with difficult tasks. This includes seniors needing help with daily activities or caregivers needing a break. Home care is flexible to meet individual needs.
4. How do you know what I need?
A home assessment is done where you explain your needs, and experienced professionals guide you to the best care plan.
5. How are your caregivers screened?
A thorough screening process includes a vulnerable sector criminal check, reference checks, and required certifications based on the position.
6. Are your caregivers bonded and insured?
Yes, absolutely.
7. What happens if a caregiver gets injured while in my home?

Primarily in clients’ homes, but also in long-term care or assisted living facilities, hospitals, and adult day care programs.
